Here we have a new construction built in early 2021. When I did the inspection I found the roof trusses had not been secured properly in the brackets in the attic. A structural engineer had to be brought in to properly address this major mistake from the builder. I went back out to the home to reinspect the trusses (at no cost to my client) after the builder had done what the engineer had come up with to fix this. And it is a good thing I did because the builder did not do all of the trusses that needed fixing. This is why we always suggest at least a major Item inspection for brand newly built homes.
